Battery leak !

Posted on April 24, 2017

Most of the pinball machines are using batteries to keep track of the high scores and settings. Its very important to change those batteries regularly as they will eventually leak !

There is couple of options available to keep the CPU board save from battery acid:

1    Remote battery holder installed away from the CPU board. If batteries start to leak, only battery holder will get damage. New one costs about £5.

2    NVRAM – RAM chip which doesn’t need batteries to keep track of settings and high scores.
